If you want to have a unique and profound experience of Mauritanian life, you should get to visit Sahel Dév, or to know Babbah Abidine (Président). I spend four days with him and his friends, friends and family, and it will stay a highlight of my journey. Babbah has a deep knowledge of history and culture and is very happy to share it. He's looking for people who can bring knowledge and another vision to local Mauritanians, a beautiful project Sahel Dev he runs. With them I spent a day in the desert, in an oasis next to the railway which was a magical experience. And Babbah was kind to solve any kind of problem or question I've ever had in these days.
